"Entertainment One has picked up television rights to Peter Nichols’ best-selling novel The Rocks, with War & Peace helmer Tom Harper on board to direct. Laura Eason ("House of Cards", Sex With Strangers) is attached to adapt the series. Laura is a writer/producer on season 5 of "House of Cards", her 4th year on the show. The new season dropped on Netflix on May 30, 2017. Season 5 recently received the show's 5th consecutive Emmy nomination for Drama Series.
Laura's acclaimed adaptation, originally produced and directed by her at Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago, will have a return engagement in the UK in 2017 after three successful runs at the New Vic (Newcastle), The Royal Exchange (Manchester), and the St. James Theatre in London.
